Paper Moons offers expressive arts workshops designed to support people through life's meaningful transitions. Grounded in developmental psychology, reflective practice, and evidence-informed education, each workshop combines creativity, conversation, and community to nurture both practical learning and personal growth.

Reflective prenatal classesPrepare for birth. Grow into parenthood.

Pregnancy is more than preparing for labour—it's the beginning of becoming a parent.

This unique six-week series weaves together practical, evidence-informed birth education with expressive arts, reflective discussion, and community. Each week explores a different theme of the transition to parenthood, offering space to slow down, connect with yourself, build confidence, and prepare not only for birth, but for the journey that follows.

No artistic experience is necessary. The creative invitations are process-focused and designed to support reflection rather than artistic skill. Alongside each expressive arts activity, we'll explore practical topics including labour and birth, comfort measures, informed decision-making, building your support team, navigating the unexpected, and preparing for the early postpartum weeks.

Whether this is your first baby or you're welcoming another child into your family, you'll leave with practical knowledge, meaningful creative work, and a deeper understanding of yourself as you prepare to cross the threshold into parenthood.

Who is this class for?

This class is designed for pregnant people at any stage of pregnancy who are looking for a thoughtful, evidence-informed approach to birth preparation. Partners are invited to join the final class, which focuses on preparing together for birth and the early postpartum period.

Parent and baby art groupSlow down. Create together. Honour this fleeting season.

The early months of parenthood are full of extraordinary change. They are beautiful, exhausting, joyful, messy, and often pass far more quickly than we expect.

This six-week expressive arts circle offers a gentle space to pause, connect with your baby, meet other parents, and creatively document this unique chapter of your family's story.

Each week includes a thoughtfully designed expressive arts invitation inspired by themes such as identity, connection, growth, memory, and self-compassion. Alongside creative exploration, there is time for conversation, reflection, and simply being together with other parents who understand this season of life.

No artistic experience is needed. The focus is on the creative process—not the finished product. Whether you're making something to keep, something to gift, or simply enjoying the experience of creating while your baby explores alongside you, each class is an invitation to slow down and notice the beauty in ordinary moments.

More than an art class, this is a place to build community, nurture your own wellbeing, and create meaningful memories with your baby.
